A 4 unit building (with commercial space on the ground floor) that was converted into a beautiful single family duplex. The entire building was completely remodeled. The commercial floor of the building was extended into the backyard with the roof of the extension being utilized to construct additional 600SQF of enjoyable outdoor space. The left side of the building was raised by 7 inches with the replacement of floor joists, load-bearing beams, stairs, floors, windows and more. Old floor joists were repurposed to be used as an element of interior decor. All windowsills and some countertops were custom-made utilizing the old wooden elements (that were replaced). Given the exposed ceiling joists and a lot of woodwork, the entire building was equipped with the fire sprinkler system.
